Lindelani Mathobo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Makhadzi Consulting Incorporated (MCI), a 100% female black-owned, IRBA-registered audit and advisory firm established in 2016. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), Registered Auditor (RA), and holds a Master’s degree in Taxation, combining deep technical expertise with strategic firm-building leadership.
With over 12 years of experience across auditing, accounting, corporate finance, risk assurance, and asset management in both the public and private sectors, Lindelani has held senior roles including Audit Manager and Technical Manager at the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA), as well as Head of Asset Management at EOH Infrastructure Management Query Software (IMQS), where she consulted to major public and private sector clients.
As CEO of MCI, she leads the firm’s long-term growth strategy to build a leading black-owned high-end audit practice serving regulated entities, professional firms, non-profit organisations, and established businesses requiring independent assurance and strong governance. Under her leadership, the firm is positioned for national expansion and complex statutory audit engagements.
She currently serves on audit committees in local government and is actively involved in strengthening financial oversight, accountability, and governance in South Africa’s public and private sectors. Lindelani has a strong interest in delivering innovative business solutions and leveraging technology to streamline audit and advisory processes and enhance operational efficiency.
She is an active member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors (IRBA). Her leadership philosophy is anchored in integrity, quality, innovation, and sustainable growth, with a clear vision to scale Makhadzi Consulting into a national institutional-grade audit firm and long-term strategic partner to high-impact clients.
